Jul 22, 2017 · Casio used a very similar design in the GPW-1000 as you can see from the diagram below. Except the center part jutting out from the case that the tube goes through is resin instead of metal. It is still a very robust design, and strong; but Casio upped the game for the D1000 Frog and just made that whole thing steel!!
